How to make tasty Channa Dal Chikki | Split Chik Peas

Today I am going to share recipe made out of Jaggery and Channa Dal. That's all time favorite Channa Dal Chikki or ಪುಟಾಣಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕಿ.
Hardly takes takes 10 min to prepare.




Ingredients:

* 1 Cup Roasted Channa Dal ( Split ChikPeas )
* 1 Cup Jaggery
* 1/2 Cup Milk
* 1/2 Lemon
* Little Ghee or Oil to grease the plate where you pour the chikki contents.

How to Prepare :

Take 1/2 cup milk in a non-sticky pan and add 1 cup of Jaggery to the pan . Keep stiring the contents until all the jaggery mixes well with milk and becomes thick . Keep it in a small flame till it boils.You can squeeze half lemon to get good sticky texture.

Take a plate and grease it with oil or ghee . Keep it ready

Keep pouring roasted channa dal slowly in intervals and keep mixing the contents in a pan in medium heat. When all contents are mixed well , pour the mixture immediately on the greased plate which was kept ready . The mixture has to be poured immediately to avoid getting hard once it cools.

After sometime you can invert the plate and cut it into small pieces and use it . Channa dal chikki or Split chikpeas chikki is ready.
